PRANAYAMA TTC 2026

Pranayama is among the earliest recorded forms of yogic practice. Yet, it is often given too little space in yoga classes and TTCs. This 8-month, 100-hour professional training is dedicated entirely to the practice, philosophy, and pedagogy of pranayama.

Designed for yoga teachers, practitioners, and breath enthusiasts, it offers a structured journey toward embodied understanding, theoretical depth, and confident teaching.

Through experiential learning, mentorship, and an immersive retreat, participants will cultivate both personal mastery and the capacity to transmit pranayama with safety, clarity, and creativity.

By the end of the training, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the physiological, philosophical, and energetic foundations of pranayama.
  • Demonstrate competence in a range of classical and contemporary pranayama techniques and supporting practices, including preparatory exercises, asanas, mudras, and shatkarmans.
  • Integrate pranayama safely and skillfully into personal and teaching practice.
  • Teach pranayama with clarity, confidence, and sensitivity to student diversity and individual needs.
  • Recognize the benefits and contraindications of various breathing techniques, and understand their effects on the digestive, cardiovascular, and lymphatic systems, as well as on spinal mobility and postural balance.
  • Recognize and apply the effects of pranayama on the nervous system, emotional regulation, and meditative states.
