Nike teaches a flowing, meditative hatha yoga. She is less concerned with the perfection of an outer form, but rather with centering, clarity and stillness.It is important to her to create a safe and welcoming space in her yoga classes to focus attention inward and listen to one’s body. Nike is also Somatic Experiencing Practioner ®, a body-oriented psychotherapy based on Peter Levine. For her, yoga is way to help self-regulation and to activate the body’s self-healing powers.Y oga helps to better understand and feel comfortable in the body and to build a flexible and resilient nervous system from which we can move fluidly from one state to another.
Nike has been practicing yoga since 2005 and teaching since 2017, after completing the three-year training at Hamsa Free School of Hatha Yoga. Her courses are subsidized by health insurance.
